About Ronnie

I teach because yoga changed how I breathe through hard moments.

Yoga calmed my own anxiety. Learning to breathe through the hard moments — on the mat and off it — made me calmer and clearer. It’s why I start my own day with breathwork and practice, and why I teach the way I do.

In my classes, breath comes first. Most of us hold our breath when something feels tough, so I cue inhale and exhale constantly — especially in the hard poses. When the breath connects, you stay present. You stop bracing, and you find out what you can actually do.

My goal for every class is simple: for one hour, everyone who comes to my classes stops thinking about everything waiting outside the room — and leaves grounded, calm, and ready for their day.

Expect precise cueing, smooth transitions, and programming that builds week to week — whether that’s a flowing Freedom Flow, a quiet deep stretch, or a strength class that works you hard and breathes with you the whole way through.

Take a breath with me

This is how we start — and how we get through the hard parts. Inhale for 4, exhale slowly for 6. Press start when you’re ready.

Classes

What I teach

Flow, stretch, strength, and sweat — all breath-led, all levels welcome, with modifications offered throughout.

Freedom Flow

Flow

Hatha and Vinyasa flow that links breath to movement from the first sun salutation to savasana. Build heat, mobility, and focus as sequences unfold smoothly — no abrupt jumps, just one breath leading to the next pose.

Best for: an all-round practice · strength + flexibility + calm

Deep Stretch & Relaxation

Restore

Entirely on the mat, with long holds of 2–5 minutes and blocks for support. Opens with detailed breathwork to settle the nervous system, then works across the whole body — hips, hamstrings, spine, shoulders, and neck.

Best for: unwinding · recovery · a quieter hour

Absolutely Burning Butts

Strength

Glutes, legs, and core only — dumbbell-based, slow and deliberate. Compound moves, standing block work, and a core finish that changes every week so your body never just goes through the motions.

My permanent Thursday strength class · 6:20 PM

Strength & HIIT

Strength

Fast & Furious and HIIT formats built in a positional flow — standing, side-facing, kneeling, then on the back — with dumbbells throughout and cardio placed so your head changes level only once. No burpees in the heat.

Best for: power · endurance · a proper sweat

Yoga & Core

Flow + Core

Yoga flow with dedicated core work woven in — finishing with a rotating mat burnout and an isometric hold at the very end, when you’ve earned it.

Best for: stability · posture · strong centre

Subbing across the studio

All formats

I teach 3–5 classes a week at Oxygen Yoga Sunset and sub frequently across nearly all studio formats — so you’ll often find me on the schedule beyond Thursdays too.

Follow @yoga_withronnie for sub announcements

Every class is hot. Oxygen Yoga Sunset uses a far-infrared heated room at around 38°C. Bring water, take breaks whenever you need them, and breathe — I’ll cue it the whole way through.

My Private Practice · Vancouver

Private Sessions — One-on-One Training

Alongside my studio classes, I’m building my own private practice — personalized one-on-one yoga sessions in Vancouver, built entirely around you.

A group class moves at the room’s pace. A private session moves at yours: we work on what you want to work on, at the level you’re at today, with my full attention on your breath, alignment, and progress — and the same breath-led cueing I bring to every class.

Private clients work with me to deepen their practice, build strength safely, improve flexibility and mobility, or simply have a dedicated hour that’s theirs. Sessions are tailored each time — no two are the same, because no two bodies or goals are the same.

Tailored Flow

Hatha / Vinyasa sequences built for your level and goals — technique, transitions, and poses you want to master, broken down step by step.

Deep Stretch & Breathwork

A quieter one-on-one hour: long holds, whole-body release, and guided breathwork to calm the nervous system.

Strength-Based Yoga

Dumbbell and bodyweight strength woven into your practice — glutes, legs, and core, programmed progressively for you.

Yoga & Core Foundations

Perfect if you’re newer to yoga or returning to it: foundations, alignment, modifications, and core stability, at your pace.
